The Most lethal Karate Kata...?
Ok we all know that different katas teach different principles and techniques and picking one over another is a difficult task. However if you had to just choose one that teaches the most effective techniques or principles for self defence/combat which kata would it be? For teaching combat (although all katas do) my personal favourites are Heian Yondan & Godan, Tekki Shodan, Bassai & Kanku Dai and then quite a few of the senior katas. Please reply to this post and tell us which kata you believe is crucial or the most effective in teaching combat and briefly explain why and some of its bunkai etc. I will post some of my favourites soon.
