Funakoshi's Other Children...
Gigo/Yoshitaka Funakoshi 1906-1945 is believed to of been instrumental in the development of his fathers karate do and is said to of brought about many changes/developments to the martial art unfortunately he died quite young from his on going battle with Tuberculosis. However Gichin Funakoshi had I believe two other sons and a daughter, yet there is hardly any mention of them anywhere. Does anybody have any knowledge about the names of his other children or their involvement, if any with karate? I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that one of his other sons was a highly efficient karateka as well as Gigo and that he was head of a karate committe or something? If anyone can provide more detail I would be very grateful, also if anyone has any pictures of them or any rare G. Funakoshi ones please could you pm or email them to me and I would be extremely grateful. Surely there's information out there somewhere about Gichin Funakoshi's other children?
