Fans of Karate Kid Series?
I've always remembered when I was young watching these and wanting to start doing Karate, does anyone else find themselves keen on the series? I wonder how many young people started it up because of that film?

Wax on wax off :P cheesey to watch now but still enjoy them as they remind me of back in the day watching them as a kid. They must of got quite a few viewers interested in martial arts I'ld say the Karate Kid series is probably the movie that motivated most viewers to start martial arts second to Bruce Lee films of course. Can't believe Mr Miyagi is dead now (2005 I think) he was a legend, I like the bit when Daniel asked Miyagi if he will teach him to sweep and Miyagi says something like 'hai Daniel-san, of course Miyagi teach you to sweep,' then he goes inside and comes back out with a sweeping brush :lol: I remember wanting a bonzai tree after watching one of them as well ha.

Sorry ,but being older my over active cynicism gland made loath them ! That said I recently trained with the man behind the martial arts of 'Karate Kid' Fumio Demura, so here's something hot of the press. 'Karate Kid ' is to be remade next year. But unfortunately it doesn't look he'll have any input into this new one. Andy

Oooo inside info :lol: bet the new film will be poor though, never knew Fumio Demura sensei was involved with it thats interesting.
